WELCOME TO THE FAA - Food Addicts Anonymous

Tired of reading inaccurate reviews & articles found in fellow beijing expat magazines? Well then, you have come to the right place!

Our goal is to provide foodies (like us) unbiased reviews & opinions you can trust - the good, the bad & the downright ugly info on the venues that you frequent, while uncovering new unexploited others that you probably haven't heard of yet.

Real Reviews written by real food addicts who tell it as it is.

As honest food-addicts, we understand that there will never be such a thing as a completely objective review - there will enevitably be some that you will totally utterly disagree with & others in which you share our point of view. Rest assured however, because all our food-addicts have been sworn under the FAA oath of objectivity; and will write the reviews as accurately as possible. The reviewers have all been addicts since birth & thus, all have extensive eating experience. The group has repeatedly failed 12-steps food-rehab program, we just can't stay out of trying new restaurants & re-visiting old ones.

Finally, we hope our "Rants & Raves" will be useful in evaluating your dining decisions or even just for simple reading pleasure at work when you should be working (yes, we all do it!)

Enjoy,

Locations

A constant topic brought up during our FAA self-help meetings is the way restaurants are listed in fellow expat magazines. As a foodie-addict, one of the biggest annoyances we all agree on is the way in which the address are listed; mentioning Chaoyang or Haidian and then accompanied by some Chinese address we have never heard of or know of. (Ex.Small hutong across from the theater )...very easy to find considering all the hutongs look so vastly different and undistinguishable from one another. Or better yet, when all we know of a restaurant is the QU/District in which it is located, bloody one QU is the size of Hong Kong...

So as a means to try and rectify this pet-peeve amongst our FAA group, we came to a consensus to list restaurants by a 'famous' landmark/area...which hopefully will give you a better idea of where you're heading before having to take 15 minute taxi ride that ends up taking longer than an hour. (been there, done that)
